Yesterday my manager came up to me while I was taking the food order for a 7 top asking why my 3 top drinks were empty. He said it loud enough that my 7 top heard. Like you expect me to stop doing my job to take care of the empty drinks??

Reminds me of directives from corporate telling our copy shop location we could not store paper on the sales floor. It had to be in the back room. Store manager told us to ignore that after 1 day.

I used to wear a recorder because I can be in loud environments hard of hearing and this way I could replay it to myself if I got loss on a task. saved me too many times

Someone had the brilliant idea of putting the straws in the decorative holder that was full of holes, so anytime someone picked up the holder the straws would pour out, I asked my manager for a different holder and she just told me to only slide the holder and not to pick it up again 🙃

our owner rearranged our prep area for the one week he was working. tables, boxes, ingredients everything. he came in on day 2 to it rearranged back.
