I went thru the same exact thing! Got bit helping a neighbor w her cat. My wife insisted I go to the hospital, ended up staying for 4 days!! Glad he’s okay

Cats can be dangerous to each other that way too - if they bite or scrawl each other they can get infection-abscesses, it’s crazy. Glad Sebastian was ok and has recovered,and that Simon is thriving now!

That end photo with the kitties cuddled up 😍 I’m glad his hand is better! A feral kitten bit me years ago — 20 puncture wounds between my first and second knuckles. I remember my finger swelling up like a sausage within about 5 minutes and deciding to go to the ER. I called my parents on the way, laughing about the situation, and my dad told me it wasn’t a laughing matter. By the time the ER took me to an exam room, the infection had gone up my arm. Even with IV antibiotics within an hour-ish of the bite, I still got cat scratch fever and was down for the count for about 2 weeks.

Yes! My son had cat scratche fever as a kid and he was so sick! It’s for sure a big thing when you get bitten or scratched by a cat and for sure a cat that is feral!

take deep cat claw punctures seriously too!! my cat got my leg and i just ignored it ( yes i cleaned it) by then next morning i had a fever ..chills and swollen leg!! that wound was nasty for ages!! i was on heavy antibiotics and hours away from being admitted to hospital. just think where their paws go...
