Never buy a full knife set. Most home cooks only need three knives: a chef’s knife, a bread knife, and a paring knife. The rest usually sit unused, clutter your kitchen, and add unnecessary cost. Even a single $40 10” chef’s knife can handle nearly everything. Get that and put the savings toward a good sharpener.
