@urbanfarmstead: On my recent @CA GROWN agricultural tour, we visited a California farm where regenerative farming extends far beyond the plants and soil. City Farm SLO, an urban farming located on the only remaining agricultural land in the city of San Luis Obispo, is regenerating the community, educating the youth, and empowering our next generation of farmers. This 19-acre organic farm includes 13 acres of affordable sub-leased land for small scale farms and a 6 acre non-profit, market farm, focused on community engagement and youth education programs. Their Therapeutic Horticulture program provides farm based lessons for children  and young adults with disabilities. Their Youth Empowerment Program provides students with the technical skills of regenerative agriculture as well as leadership and career development skills. And their AmeriCorps college fellowship program where students learn farming skills while also leading the other educational programs at City Farm SLO.
