i stopped buying foundation n only concealer honestly it spreads so much more n never looks cakey, its easier to find a good concealer "foundation" than a good foundation

i know some girls who use concealer AS foundation on the whole face, claiming it’s because foundation is “heavier” on the skin, but almost all concealers are more high coverage so I never understood this 💀

i recently stopped wearing foundation completely and just use concealer to spot correct + conceal my dark circles and my makeup looks 10x more natural and fresh 😭 never going back to foundation

no concealer is just a better option overall, using foundation under the eyes doesn’t work as well because it’s usually not bright enough and won’t match the highlighting effect you want. plus foundation tends to crease more under the eyes compared to concealer, which is specifically formulated for that area

I just bought the hourglass concealer. Only because I have been using this cheap old (and discontinued foundation as concealer for 6 years, and I felt that I needed an actual concealer after all this time. this morning I put them on side by side and in terms of consistency I really didn't see a difference. I feel a bit cheated lol. BUT there are some really AMAZING skin tints sold at sephora which I'll likely get next time :)

actually I tried it. the issue is foundation creases way more under eyes even if I set it with a good powder like the huda beauty easy bake
