I walk into Scion hospital at 11pm bleeding during Weeks pregnancy and am kept for almost an hour and later am sent home and told to come the following day at 9:00am because that's the time the gyna would be coming. I lost the pregnancy but got assistance in a different hospital within the same night. They open a new and a bigger branch then I assume they've gotten better. I take my 5years old girl who is complaining of a headache and it was a severe one. Crying and fevers not responding to medicines. Registration is done, we proceed to triage and they confirm that fevers are bad. They ain't giving her anything nor doing anything. We stay at those benches and we just see people move from one room to another wearing lab/doctors coats. No communication. We ask and we are told we will be called. Patience level goes to 0 levels and we decide to leave. They return the amounts with not even a sorry. We go to a different hospital and we finally find out it was meningitis and at a bad state but we thank God we are healed and it didn't impact our life negatively. I now see it and can't even refer anyone to the hospital. #justiceforAmaya

So you guys believe that God was dead that day that He couldn't save the life of that child?????? Am a nurse and I always ask do you think we are God? We only do the best that we can as human beings and leave it in The Maker to decide whether it's the end of that life or the life is coming back!!!!!! To every doctor/nurse/midwife, do your best, and remain peaceful, God will never leave us in tears & depression🙏🙏🙏

I miss Margaret Kenyatta error when maternal deaths were the most feared thing in hospital the report was received direct in state house and if the evidence was not overwhelming the involved medics lost their licence. no one joked when it came to maternity back then

You will not understand untill you are in their shoes 🥺. It's not always about negligence somethings just happens. The hardest thing about being a medic is that you can be the difference between someone living or someone dying. It's not easy my friend. Ironically people use tragedy to trend to point fingers and more forth if we will also be posting about our heroes the things they do behind the scenes we will be at a good place.

The nurses were performing the C/S? Let's hear what the nurses have to say, as a medic I will always side with the medics until the story is clear.

we can point all the blame to the system 😒😒😒the system is messed up 😒but every individual has a role to play in their field .............I am a medical practitioner and if there's something that is not tolerated at my place of work is negligence.......being in that field requires alot of empathy............because life is involved and life is precious....I pray that everyone working in the field of health is filled with the grace of God and empathy......#justiceforAmaya........she deserved an empathetic person, her baby also deserved empathy......

and we have women reps..by the way, if you are a medic, and your middle name is negligence, imagine you will pay...just wait...you will wonder what you did, but it is there in that hospital, if you can't do the best for a person at their weakest, then leave, if the place you work isn't empowering you to do your best, leave instead of winning yourself curses..mother nature is always watching, God expects us to do our best...watch that space
