@carlosalfredomerchan: Build a powerful water pump without electricity or fuel! In this video, I show you step-by-step how to make a hydraulic ram pump using simple materials from a hardware store. It runs only on gravity and can lift water up to 6 meters high with just 1 meter of fall. Perfect for off-grid living, homesteading, or anyone looking for a sustainable water solution. #RamPump #WaterPump #DIYProjects #OffGridLiving #Homestead #SustainableLiving #GravityPowered #EcoFriendly #WaterSystem #BackyardEngineering #TikTokDIY #HowToBuild #GreenEnergy #SelfSufficient #UKDIY #USADoItYourself
A check valve is a check valve, a relief valve is a relief valve…they’re not the same thing, nor are they called the same thing. One ensures flow in one direction, the other reliefs pressure at a set point

Randy :
I'm confused. if the check valve is installed backwards, why is water coming out?

Ram pumps truely work… however its only about 10-15% efficient.. But if you need water, with nothing else available it’ll do.

The science is suspicious. I'll try it.

Can’t the “wasted” water be channeled back to the source?

Grumph :
this only works on moving water. it doesn't generate free energy. It requires energy from the water flowing into it to work. it's great for streams, rivers, creeks, etc, but won't work on a pond.

I have a mains water supply to a high farm were the pressure is extremely poor to none because of the elevation will this system pull it on up to a ballvalve to fill my tank

the pressure is usually so frustratingly low.

a check valve is different to a relief valve, check valve allows flow in one direction, and a relief is used to relief pressure to stop the system from over pressurising

not sure how sustainable water hammer is for the whole system

T :
so the water moves to first check valve creating pressure to flow through the second check valve ?

my grandparents farm has this system. a stream from a resivour provides the water , pumps up to the water storage tank in the highest field then its gravity fed to the troughs .

Zacharias Papadopoul :
Yes, it can work but not without energy, it is the kinetic energy of the water lost!

If it’s assisted by gravity, why put it in the system? Just let the water flow naturally then
