Why do people have kids if they are gonna treat them like this , 16 is too young 😳, even at 18 it’s difficult, everything is expensive nowadays

Same happened to me. Basically my parents expected me to work at 16. I ended up on a training scheme earning £29.50 a week and I had to pay £10 a week housekeeping to my mum.

In Ireland 🍀 most kids stay in school until 18 and then are expected to go to University. Education is the key 🔑

You know what the 90s were a different time and what she's saying isn't uncommon and wouldn't have been shocking back then as alot of Baby Boomers made terrible parents. I was out the house at 17, no money, life was hard and yeah I had a similar experience of moving in with a much older man at 19 which I look back and cringe now, we stayed together for 13 years got married and had 3 children. At the time a stable family was what I craved which is why I think I was vulnerable to his advances. But the reality in hindsight is if I'd had better parents my life would have took a different path.

This is genuinely sad and not the first person I’ve heard this from…whereas my parents worked hard and help to fund my education because they were thinking of the long game.

My great grand parents had a space for anyone always. A lesson much appreciated as they lived to be over 100 with family always around. We need more of that.

She was booked for the Big Breakfast with Johnny Vaughan to replace Denise Van Outen. She wasn’t able to quip back as Denise could. Unfortunately, perhaps down to the producers, she came across as a mute, giggling doll.
