Honestly all the black haired characters that aren't Ranpo have wrongly colored hair (Anime Yosano is purple, Anime Mori blue, Dazai's is canonically black in the LN, Fyodor's is this weird warm purple, etc)

And Chuuya’s eyes were brown… why are they blue in the anime????? Bones, count your days and give every feature you stole/changed from all the characters, also stop changing manga panels/adding things that isn’t in the manga

black is very hard to keep consistent and shaded in colored media, hence why most character who have canonically black or dark brown hair are depicted with blue, purple or even dark green hair

Using tinted hair instead of black hair is easier to animate, so that's most likely why it's tinted purple in the anime
