He might have not done it bc you were talking to him. I had a sick cat that could jump just fine but if she knew I was near her she wouldn't do it. I'm not saying your dog can but it's bc they know you are there to help

One time I was giving my dogs some leftover dinner scraps. I was yelling for the last dog and she never showed up so I gave all the treats away and I turn around and Fergie was laying down so politely behind me waiting her turn and I had no idea 😭

i always crash out on myself for things i’ve done that i thought were a good idea at the time but didn’t go as planned with my dog, i just try to remind myself it’s not like she sits there and thinks about what happened, she knows i love her and she’s happy 😭💔 the guilt is so real but it’s just one “mistake” out of so many good experiences and he surely won’t hold it against you 🥹❤️
