You should make you ground wire as short as possible for better sound quality

this would be a good time to take the carpet out and clean it. You could probably pressure wash it

The 3 sets of RCAs you seen one is for subs. The other two sets are for door speakers. 1 rca per channel !

Most home theatre subwoofers have an amplifier inside them. Studio monitors usually have the amp inside the speaker and professional speakers and subwoofers are mostly self powered. Meaning the amplifier is inside the box. I think you’re safe to mount the amp to the subwoofer. If the amp can’t take the vibrations, it probably shouldn’t be in a car anyways! My amp has been mounted to the back of my subwoofer for over 10 years problem free.

Ground to the amp is to far out and it’s better to ground to the body or metal on the floor ither then the seat belt

having the amp on the box can break the amp with all the vibration so separating them is a good idea

My amp survived years of 6000w abuse while mounted to the box so I think you'll be fine. Just make sure it's raised off the box to allow air to pass under it

Ground dosent have to be that long you can mount it literally anywhere as long as it has metal to metal conection and I’m not no pro but you shouldn’t have 3 sets of rca cables and also make shure you have heat shield on any wires nesr the motor and make shure uour fuse is close to the battery

Batman5.9🦇 :
Ground it to a bolt under the carpet in the back and run the rca under the glove boxs to the passengers side and the power to the driver side you only need one set of rca cables if you have one amp

Separating it was good because depending on what sub you have it can rattle things apart in your amp, but that’s but sub wire, that’s RCA

not a prank on running th wires or takeing the amp off the box. both good pieces of advice. for even better sound quality you could go get a second amp (4 channel) and wire the door speakers to it. I would recommend aftermarket speakers for that.

Those extra sub wires are just extra rca cables you can throw them out but I would recommend getting better wire that’s a Walmart kit and maybe upgrade the sub or get a under seat box

Good idea to seperate the sub and amp amp has a lot of sensitive stuff inside and with constant vibrations directly from the sub you run the risk of potentially messing up the amp could be fine but imo its not worth the risk I always mount seperate

Ground wire should not be longer than 3 feet or it will cause distortion and poor connection to the amp and rca should be separate from power. remote wire can be ran with the positive

The reason you had 3 RCA's one for sub amp and the other 2 are for a 4 channel amp for mids and highs.

double ground the amp that way screwing right to the body. I always use mdf or plastic to mount the amp. I also run the ground to the frame then ya no it's grounded correctly

if the sub is running stupid power then you don't want the amp on box but with a little sub it would of been fin.
