My boy has diamond eye that's progressively getting worse. I'm thinking of doing something like this when his eyesight starts to make eating and moving around difficult. Beautiful.

I love when ppl care so much about their pets! I know it feels like a "downgrade" but this is a beautiful retirement tank for an older fish and so much better for swim issues

This is the only time a betta should be in a smaller tank. We had to move our dragon scale into a 3 gallon after she went blind and her 5 gallons became too hard to navigate.

I got virtually assaulted for keeping my 5yo betta in 3in of water bc he couldn't swim up and down, but could still swim side to side perfectly fine. He was eating and didn't appear to be in pain at all. Just old. I got literal death threats. Amino was a crazy app back in 2019

Aww, yea with larger fin bettas they slow down with age and their fins are already such a drag on them as it, it's so sad 😞
