I know most people would suggest East Malaysia—Sabah or Sarawak—but did you know Kuala Terengganu is seriously underrated? Just hop on a flight (it’s usually super cheap), and you’ll be amazed by the charm of the city. It’s laid-back, full of local character, and you're just a boat ride away from some of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia. Plus, the public buses are super friendly and easy to use. Feels like everyone there’s just happy to help.
