So, whatever “rent” payment that your making towards the house each month/year doesn’t increase your ownership percentage of the house. Which means the house will never really be your unless you add more money in. That’s crazy, If that’s the case then. why not just rent as normal because in this situation I’m only helped the bank by a house and not myself.

That’s not how it works , Ahmad wants to buy a house, Islamic bank buys it for him, then adds a profit, divide the total over let’s say 10 years (120 months) Ahmad pays monthly, when the house is paid off, Ahamd owns the house … it’s a fixed payment, no fluctuations!

If I can’t afford to keep paying the rent on my home under an Islamic mortgage, and I no longer want to live in the house — can I just walk away without any consequences? Will the bank take the loss, or will they still come after me and hurt my credit report, just like a conventional bank would?

What happens if Ahmed wants to sell the house? And it gets sold at a loss? Does the rent increase or does it stay the same indefinitely? What if Ahmed can’t pay the “rent” does the home get foreclosed? What are the fees associated with such a transaction?

The problem for me is that the currency used itself is Riba! You cannot make wudu with 99% water and 1 drop of urine. Same principle. Using Riba fiat currency to claw back equity isnt gonna magically make it halal. 😭
