People always like to claim that the youngest child is the most spoiled, but from my experience it’s the opposite. Youngest children typically get hand me downs, and their problems are often seen as not that important. And you’re not taught as many things (ex: cooking) because parents stop “parenting” as much.

by the time we were born everything already happend, all the first steps and words, all the milestones and school awards, all the fun and trips. Our parents were already tired from dealing with our siblings that we didn't get praised or loved. Rules set but already broken by older siblings, a family built already. You just happen to be there watching them

As the youngest none of my problems were taken seriously. I was undiagnosed autistic and when I’d meltdown id just get laughed at or would be told to drink some water 😭 I don’t blame my family as they didn’t know but damn it caused so much trauma

You have no clue. As the youngest, SOMEHOW, EVERYONE. and I mean EVERYONE, tell me their problems and vents even as I sit alone quietly. If I have a nickel for every time a family member vent to me, that would be more than five.

as the youngest i was always made fun of. when i got upset at being made fun of, i was always told i was being too sensitive and how it’s just a joke, so now i have a bad habit of keeping all my negative emotions to myself and idk how to be vulnerable without feeling embarrassed

also the infantilization people haven't talked enough!!! like they treated us to be "aww you're the youngest, you're a baby" but at the same time want us to be mature like the first child🙄 the way my mom pivoted from being "oh you should study abroad, look at your sis. she's thriving!" to "oh no you can't go abroad. we don't trust you." MA'AM ALL I DID WAS STUDYING AND TAKING COURSES, I DON'T EVEN LIKE GOING OUTSIDE, I CAN COOK, I CAN CLEAN. WHICH PART OF ME YOU DID NOT TRUST?? still remember vividly tho, that's how bad it was it's engraved in my goldfish brain. but apparently it was bcs my 2nd sis is untrustworthy so mom has trust issue but DON'T PROJECT IT ON ME HELLO🙄 she still thinks I'm just a baby meanwhile I was already an independent child since God knows when 🤷🏻♀️
