As a major fan of death note, anybody who says that light Yagami should’ve won, just don’t understand the story. Ryuk makes it extremely clear. Light is not making it out of this alive. It’s a beautifully written story about how inevitably light lead to his own downfall. It’s a story of self-destruction.
