Sencillo, la práctica que hacen con el árbol es para tratar de evitar que el árbol se separe en un futuro por la bifurcación que tiene en algun suceso de ( vientos fuertes, tormentas, temblores etc), esa varilla roscada ayuda a que el árbol no se parta por esa dilatación; y la inyección radicular ( fertilizantes o nutrientes, reguladores de crecimiento, fungicidas o insecticidas sistémicos) que carece el árbol y se pone allí porque es el sistema vascular del árbol (xilema y floema), distribuyéndose más efectivamente

eso es para secar el árbol , pero para hacer eso tiene que existir una justificación que amerite eso: las raices están afectando alguna estructura o para evitar un inconveniente mayor. En mi opinión yo preservaria el árbol
