@liverpoolecho: A man has admitted causing a pensioner's death by dangerous driving. Edward Hickey died after being struck by a car on South Road in Waterloo. Thomas Gibson, of Haven Road in Fazakerley, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court this morning, Monday, having been charged with causing his death by dangerous driving. The 20-year-old pleaded guilty to this single count, which states that he was behind the wheel of a 59-plate Ford Fiesta at the time of the incident. Gibson is now due to be sentenced on July 11, and was released on unconditional bail ahead of a further hearing on June 13.
