I feel like everyone forgets, this story isn't actually about getting the prince, or just a dark retelling (btw it's kinda the og story if you think about it) this is about self image, it's about survival. It's a reflection of our world right now, it shows us two types of people and their actions, and consequences. It shows us how two people understand beauty very differently and how they dealt with it.

This movie was so artfully done. I love that you get to see that no one is a villain, no one but the system they're all stuck in. it's poetic and beautiful as much as it's gross and disturbing

I loved this movie, but we need to stop using Cinderella's story against her. The whole point is to show how abuse affects some people, and how she managed to stay kind and respectful to everyone. Making stories with someone else's POV that isn't even accurate just erases rep.
