I work with people living with dementia and I promise you we do see the personality's they once had even if it's just from a picture, I kiss them and tell them I love them every nightshift ,memories are all we need to hold on to 🥰🥰

Absolutely balling my eyes out to someone who had a grandad with dementia and watched my grandma care for him everyday for 8 years till the end this is heartbreaking 🥹😭godbless you and your grandma… you are definitely precious and should be so proud to keep looking after your nan it must be hard ❤️

it's a horrible something.. i saw my grandfather in seven years going backworts.. he mixt up my mom and i even we didn't look alike.. i saw him wanted to go to the bathroom against a wall.. i heard him saying it was not all right in his head.. and not knowing my grandmother sometimes.. he died 12 years ago.. and i still miss him so much. he was always the clear and funny one and never got to know my daughter. (sorry for the wrong words.. i am from Belgium)
