They purchase the horses from Amish slaughter auctions. They work intermittently 6 months per year and have veterinarians on staff from the city to conduct inspections randomly and regularly.

They only have to stop the carriages if it’s 97 degrees & confirmed by 3 weather sources… it’s just horrible that is WAY way too hot with the humidity
