@maudecpion: It’s true—social media shows our highlights, rarely the heartbreaking moments. That’s why so many of us have a love/hate relationship with it, and honestly, I get it. Thank you @First Response Pregnancy for the chance to raise awareness—because this is the reality for many families. I cried for a long time with every pregnancy announcement, every baby bump photo, every emotional video of someone surprising their partner with a test. Because I don’t get the chance to naively take one myself. For years, my body hasn’t felt like mine—ultrasounds, blood tests, surgeries under bright lights, endless injections, hormones pumped into me like it’s normal. Yes, it builds resilience. But every time someone says, “You’re so strong,” I want to break down and say, “If I wasn’t, who would be for me?” This isn’t a choice. My path is just different. I never wanted to feel like a victim—I just wanted to be a mother. So I learned to navigate infertility, built my own toolbox, and that strength gave me the chance to become a mom in 2023. That same strength is carrying me through the journey again, hoping to welcome baby #2 into our family. It’s not a smooth or simple road—but it’s ours. And it’s the reality for many families.
