I personally think that the pickpocketing is a little exaggerated. I've spent a week in Barcelona with the phone in my hand navigating through streets and not in a second I've felt uncomfortable. Ofc you have to watch your personal stuff everywhere you go, not just Barcelona. And the people? Couldn't be more lovely. I've also been to Istanbul, and let me tell you pickpocketing was 💯 😅
