@rabbi_shais_taub: It’s time to talk about a most insidious form of child abuse that often goes unrecognized. There are many names for it: enmeshment, emotional incest, parentification of the child. Regardless of what you call it, the devastating effects are the same. What is it and how do we avoid doing it to our kids? #enmeshment #covertincest #parentification #parentingtips #parentingtok
My adoptive mother said this a lot to me . “ I drink to forget you” demanded I get her more wine I was 4 she kept saying it until I left the house .

I absolutely disagree. I was raised on love and phrases like this and I felt loved, appreciated, acknowledged, validated, seen, and heard. Be careful with believing someone who has a narrow mind and thought process. Can it be used in a negative context, yes of course….but it does not apply to all individuals. Teach your children the difference between love and toxic relationships.

Sounds like another part of the Zionist agenda to demolish the nuclear family. Straight out of The Protocols of The Learned Elders Of Zion, the Zionist play by play on how to weaken and enslave goyim. Teach us showing love and affection to our children is wrong so that they grow up looking for that validation elsewhere promoting a broken society which is easier to control and manipulate.

lol worst? How about growing up trying to make your parents happy just to eventually realize that your infinite and hopeless effort, is what was actually being harvested. Think of the puppy futaily trying to get to a treat attached to its nose

My mom always told me “I’m only as happy as my saddest child”. I didn’t want to make her sad so I never told her how scared I was all the time especially when I got beat by my father when I was as young as five. I didn’t wanna make her sad.

Parents should be able to say: you make me happy, but setting an example that the child is not solely responsible for their happiness in life - that is a difference

Having been a child who spent his whole life trying to make his parents happy, I agree with you.

It's not my child's responsibility to make me happy, but she does make me happy. I tell her spending time with her is the best part of my day. I think it would be worse to grow up thinking your parents only spend time with you because they have to. 🤷♀️

I usually say I'm so proud of you or I'm lucky to have you. I would have no problem saying you make me happy. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't cause him to need therapy.
