In Europe, we use the 24 hour clock because it’s more precise and avoids confusion between AM and PM. It’s especially useful in things like transportation, healthcare, the military, or work schedules. If a train leaves at 18:45, you instantly know it’s in the evening, no need to ask. It just makes sense: the day has 24 hours, so why split it into two sets of 12?

Overall in Europe we use both. The 24 hour system for everything that needs to be punctual (schedules, appointments, transport, etc) but for casual things (amongst friends and family) we will use the 12 hour system.
