My brother had a code blue after his accident. I’ve never seen nurses run so fast in my life. Their speed and efficiency saved my brothers life. I’ll always be grateful to them. 🙏

I will say working in a hospital I worked on the top floor of the hospital and I had to run full speed to the ER so none of my coworkers got hurt to get restraints bc our unit the restraints were cut from the budget

As an ICU nurse who have been involved in countless codes, ECPR, CALS, cracking chests, etc every time I see this video and those like it I immediately tear up. Never have at work but it’s to we run like a nurse idc who you are your a person a life and my job is to bring you back no matter what it takes. 🫡

I had a seizure where they called a code blue and my 1 to 1 ran all the way crossed the hospital to see me. Mind you she was on her lunch break

I had brain surgery and a week later I started feeling sick that I went back to the hospital. They didn’t send me home bc they were concern about my heart rate. They gave me an IV antibiotic and I remember feeling really sick and out of no where they called code blue. I remember shaking and feeling like I was going to die. They had my husband step out while a bunch of nurses/dr came to my room trying to bring me back. This happened to me 2x and I was the youngest pt they had. The 2nd time it happened I for sure thought It would be my last. It will be a year that this happened to me in September.

I’ll always remember the day I SPRINTED up two flights of stairs from the coffee shop and switched my mask to an N95 while running down the hall to bolt into my patients room who suddenly desaturated to the 40s bc she took off her bipap. She was already turning gray but luckily didn’t end up coding. Got there just in time. Went back for my coffee and hour later successfully 🙂

As an icu nurse it’s a different feeling. No one understands how scary it is to bring a patient back or how hard it is to actually run a code and make sure the patient comes back. When they don’t come we have a bad day because it feels like we didn’t do a good job . This video is showing you exactly how it goes when we have to run a code blue. Keep doing an amazing job all my fellow nurses no matter your specialty. You are amazing nd thanks for your service .

I used to be a clerk for the ER and my desk was in the nurses station and I swear! Every time I had to call the hospital dispatcher to call the code or trauma I just knew that I had to be in my top game to make sure that I had everything go smoothly for the nurses since it was job to make sure everything went well! I would always make sure that if I had the money to get them some food so I knew they would eat at least a little
