I honestly think it should be illegal for kids under 18 to be posted on social media. Like maybe fb and insta for individuals, but not curated daily content.

And some influencers are moving out of California because they passed a law saying the kids in the videos have to be compensated. They are comfortable using them to make money but don’t want to pay them.

I saw a comment that some girl said she CALLED the hospital and asked for his mom and was transferred to the room. She was defending herself by saying it “put rumors to bed” I was SICK after seeing that comment. Seriously and completely totally insane behavior.

Unfortunately I agree with you. I took my kids offline a few weeks ago and this whole thing has only cemented that. Imagine seeing your child in content you shared now being reshared by strangers during his death. AWFUL.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that someone saw a news clip of a house filmed at night, IN THE DARK, and was still able to recognize it as her house. Like, I wouldn't even be able to do that for some of my friends' houses. That I've actually been to.

I do not understand how every parent’s first instinct isn’t to shield their children from social media as much as humanly possible. I would walk over broken glass to keep my kids’ lives private.
