It’s an FM transmitter. when I was a kid back in the 80s. My parents bought me a science set. You could build one of these. It was quite easy.

Hiding in plain sight. :
Boomer here, we had FM transmitters that connected a Walkman or tape player to audio system. No bluetooth then ,the transmitter had a aux cable conn3ction.

FM transmitter plugged into a 12 v Power Port. Cig lighter ports are non existant in most vehicles today.
