Tbh, beibg a filipino as a background character in a movie set in hawaii is TRUE representation. We have so manh Filipinos in the islands that it’s impossible not to have them as side/background characters. As long as you are not a Filipino playing one of the main Hawaiian characters, I dont see a problem.

It’s very disappointing!!! They don’t realize who Nani stands for! She is our local girls big sister! So the fact thats what we’re working with and we have so many beautiful kanaka wahine who could’ve played an amazing nani. Disney decided to again mess with cultures!
