@caughtthefirebug: 25LF CAMP fire burning near the communities of Choiceland and Smeaton – about one hour north of Melfort Canada is not yet contained and growing in size. By definition, a “not contained” fire is one where suppression – efforts to fight the fire – is taking place but the fire is expected to grow in size, according to terminology outline on the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) website. “CAMP” has spread to encompass 32,000+ hectares, roughly 77,000 acres, and is twice the size of the “SHOE” fire in Narrow Hills Provincial Park, which is 16,000 hectares. “CAMP” was first reported on May 6. #canada #wildfire #frypgシ #caughtthefirebug
