I would never buy one again either my fees went from $300 to $800 with nothing but a parking space 2 bedrooms paid the same as 1 bedrooms. Taxes were $3500 a year for no land ? It’s a scam

Condos are the WORST. Even though you pay huge condo fees every month, you still get hit with special assessments every time something big needs to be done.

At one Time… Condos were far more affordable to buy and the Condo fees were more affordable too. Since the pandemic….everything doubled $$! Supplies like lumber is sky-high$… so your Condo Fees take a hit and up goes the fees! I had 2 Condos…both were newly built buildings. I recently sold both because they were losing value and ( YES )…. The condo fees we’re getting ridiculously high! I think buying a house is a better way to go in today’s economy…but this just my personal opinion…the final decision is yours of course.🌹🇨🇦

I was fortunate to have my contact at the bank walk through reserve fund, condo fees, etc. so I truly knew what to look for. I’ve been in my condo 12 years and no regrets but it’s older, has a bigger base to pull from, and low fees.

Depends your budget. I got a house and with the budget that I had I only could have an old house and maintenance and repairs were so much for me. Now I live in a Condo and even with fees is cheaper and I don't feel so stressed anymore.

The maintenance fees kill. And property taxes over 3000 a year for a box in the sky. You don’t even own anything . You are just a glorified renter. I own a condo and it’s not fun.

Condos are good downtown where there is no SFH and one can walk everywhere to save on vehicle expenses . But condos in the suburbs where land and SFH are more affordable makes no sense to me .

💯 Agree NEVER!! I bought mine in 2017, I rent it out now, condo fees are now $635/month but worse then that is the property management/condo board. Communal living is not for me
