I’m not an expert, just have mixed thoughts about watering. If it’s not getting cooked in the heat or sun, I like just letting it do its thing.

come on people. mentioned many times it's cantilever. meaning the concrete is to the ground, on a stone base in the middle. just hangs over a little on the edges to make this look. the wood which is just near the edges is temporary.

Guys, go look at the other video. The wood under the concrete is to support the concrete to give it the floating pad look. This pad is actually on the ground and the wood is temporary.

Not pointless, ot cools the surface and keeps it from hydrating to quickly reducing surface cracking.
