I don’t get why foreigners are so angry. This is our country, and we can do whatever we want. If mass tourism is hurting us, we’ll do everything to change it. You’ve got no right to complain if you’re not from here and it doesn’t even affect your lives. Go party somewhere else

Airbnb; the solution is to build more homes, that way we can buy them again and leave locals on the streets 🫶🏻

15.000 houses every year? that's a joke. In the year 2000 Spain built 500.000 new houses with less population

Question - why does a country who benefits heavily from tourism want to get rid of tourists? I’m from Orlando and hate the tourists but I know that they do a lot for FL. I’d never take out my frustrations on them

As a Barcelona local you cannot even fathom how insane the amount of tourism is. We really, really need to tackle this issue and we really need to prioritise long term rentals!

for those saying things like "then we'll stop going since they don't want us" you missed the whole point. We aren't (the majority) anti tourist, we just want a system that doesn't explote the local people with cheap labor, eliminate poor rate (wich are on the more tourist places) and help the local companies.

rent used to be around 30/40% of the average monthly pay, now it can be 100% of it which makes it unlivable

Spains housing problem has nothing to do with tourism. The government heavily regulates construction of new housing thus the housing shortage. This will just damage our economy

Airbnb, uber, are always not following the laws or regulations. Is the capitalist model of neoliberals. And this means that STRONG, SOCIAL GOVERNMENTS ARE NEEDED MORE THAN EVER.

u know what? we're no against tourism, we're against the massificatiok that its stealing our essence, most cafeterias are opening and are ONLY in english, a lot of placed are in english, sometimes u cant walk properly in the street bc of the inmense amount of people, also, most tourist doesn't even try to speak a little bit of spanish or respect our culture, traditions and the locals that we live there and the last thing... if tourism its our principal income, why the most tourist cities are the poorer of the country?? we just want a RESPOSIBLE tourism
