Make sure you (1) file with the labor board for the pay you are owed (2) file for unemployment. Companies are required to pay both federal & state unemployment to guarantee there is money for laid off employees

I applied for a job had the interview with the owner and was introduced to all the staff and i had explained the last interview I had I was ghosted and he said I promise no matter the outcome I will let you know....ghosted AGAIN!!!! ...and yes I emailed and called after not hearing anything both times and nothing

It’s bad out here. I had an ‘interview’ that was actually just a recruiter call, and they sent me a link to take a quiz about my skills, which was wild to me. I’ve been in creative fields for so long that doesn’t feel normal. May we get hired soon 🤞🏻

This is why I do not feel bad about ghosting jobs if I change my mind at some point during the process. Clearly there's no expectation that either of us have to be professional or respectful here if you can't even send a rejection email

I’ve been in recruitment for over ten years. I’ve missed ONE interview because I just straight up lost all sense of time and space- called immediately and felt TERRIBLE. But they were very kind and we ended up hiring them, so a win!

Multiple high end nanny agencies have ghosted me for interviews. It’s wild. Things weren’t like this pre-zoom/facetime etc. although I’m sure it still has happened upon showing up at the interview location.

I had an interview last week, and I was more prepared for the interview than the recruiter. I opted out of the 2nd interview because the recruit should never know more about the company than the recruiter.

When I was unemployed I was lied to by recruiters all the time. I specified day shifts ONLY and I wasted 2 hours in this in person interview just to find out I was interviewing for night shift. I went off on the recruiter.
