Love how he always says he built a company up to £300 million, ignoring that his company was valued at £7 million on its own, the rest came from the fact it merged with a company worth roughly £300 million.

He is just like Jay Shetty. They spent so much time talking that some people actually get convinced that what they are saying is right. They just use loads of anecdotes from other people with no credentials of their own. The fact that he doesn’t even disclose his advertising is always problematic to me. He advertisers companies he is invested in and it’s so misleading.

lets be honest though, most seed investments fail, so its not necessarily a fault of blaglett, even though I cant stand him. Ive had about 50 seed investments and at least 30 of those were deead within 4 years.

I think Cheesegeek is frustrating because of the Crowdfunding. So £421k invested by 182 people. The information related to the risk and precarious position of the business were not clear on Crowdcube.

You know your stuff. A lot of food startups following this strategy and most never make it. Vertical integration more important than ever. Most food start ups are just co-packing and won’t ever take the full slice and with NIC, Inflation, Wage increases - they have no chance of profitability unfortunately unless they reach critical mass.
