One of my exes took me to Mexico and told me ill pay for everything there and lodging and you pay for your ticket. I paid for some coffees and dessert here and there. We were in our late 20s, he was 4 years younger than me. A true gentleman!

Based on the comments I’m in the minority. If I’m invited on a trip, I’m not going to assume that he’s covering everything. The average income in the U.S. is around 40k. I guess I’m a bit too pragmatic🤷🏼♀️

I paid for flights & hotel, drove us & paid the airport, then he shouted at me & walked away in the queue for a boat trip because I asked if he could cover it. He never paid me his half of the trip back. Know who you’re dealing with before you go away!
