it because of the diff drop you need to extend the breather. every single car I've seen with water in the actuator is because they didn't extend the breather and it popped off

yeah mine went was due to the breather snapping off so had to get one from four x spares was $700 has done the job!

Change all the lines and extend to a a single 6 port breather, both ADD units, both diffs, transmission and transfer, I did this when I got my N80 in 2021 and never had a drama, done cape York with water half way up the windscreen multiple times

Would you happen to know what it means after this happens and we do all this to fix it, that now it goes into 4H but the dash keeps blinking and doesn’t recognise that it’s in 4H? But it definitely is 😭

what would you do if you’re half way through a track and this happens and you get back to the road and can’t get out of 4x4. i have a ranger so i dont have the issue but a bit curious.

Mate check the breather, a common issue I saw in my time at Toyota was when you installed a diff drop the breather initially seems long enough but over time it’s slips of the hard line a little higher then the diff which in turns lets heaps of water in

You need to extend the breather. It doesn't come through the seal. It's because the diff drop stretches the breather and they crack eventually. Replace the ADD and extend the breather
