5k is like 20 minutes. Leave phone, even then most people have cellular Apple Watch. Literally only thing i carry for a run is my spare key.

Nothing wrong with the vest but you never see any serious runners training with a vest on

You don’t need a phone or a camera for running full stop. Let alone a 5 or 10k….

Wear what you want mate. Whatever gets you out the door. I wear mine on all of my runs. Normally packed with gear to prepare me for my first ultra. Whatever it takes 👍

Dude - I run 80-100 miles/months. Whether it’s 2k or a marathon, I always wear a vest. You do you 👍

I also recommend Lululemon shorts with the lining that have packets included for phones, keys etc. They also have a few more smaller zip pockets on the outside for items.

These are okay….. but if you want the goat. Get a compresssport free belt, hidden, can hold everything. Much lighter than running vest. You feel free when running. Holds phone, gels, charger, soft flask - game changer for me
