People forget that piercings are for everybody, and I personally think that piercings look cool as hell on older folk

Auburn is reeling after the brutal killing of Dr. Julie Schnuelle, a retired Auburn University professor, attacked while walking her dog at Kiesel Park. Her death in broad daylight, at a place families consider safe, has left the community shaken. By Sunday morning, police had a person of interest in custody and had recovered her truck, but many questions remain unanswered. A shocking crime in one of Auburn’s most beloved public spaces. Police say Dr. Julie Schnuelle, 59, a retired Auburn University professor, was attacked and killed while walking her dog at Kiesel Park Saturday morning. Her dog was unharmed. By Sunday, investigators confirmed a person of interest is in custody. Authorities believe the truck Dr. Schnuelle drove to the park was taken by the suspect after the attack and later abandoned about five miles away along Wire Road. A state helicopter lifted off from the spot where investigators say her red Ford F-150 was found, as Auburn Police searched the roadside for evidence. This stretch sits just a few miles from Kiesel Park — Auburn’s largest green space — now the center of heartbreak. Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton says her injuries appear to have been caused by a sharp object, possibly a knife. Dr. Schnuelle was a retired professor of Large Animal and Food Animal Medicine at Auburn University. She was well known in the field of bovine medicine — a respected veterinarian, researcher, and mentor. Officers were first called to Kiesel Park around 2:07 p.m. Saturday after a caller reported a body in a wooded area. Kiesel Park spans 124 acres and is one of Auburn’s most popular gathering places. The fact this attack happened in broad daylight, in a park normally filled with joggers, families, and dog walkers, has left the community stunned. By Sunday morning, Auburn Police confirmed a person of interest is being questioned. The homicide investigation remains active, and detectives say more details will be released soon.#fyp #crime #auburn #alabama #elizabethwhite
