You have no idea how much I needed this. I left a marriage because he wouldn't grow. He was a good man, but he wouldn't grow and he didn't understand my need to grow. Everyone made me out to be the bad person because I left. It's taken me 3 years to be okay with that. I needed to hear these words out loud. Thank you. ❤️

💯 I just left my wife of 29 years, cause she actively refuses to try to get better. I woke up one day and realized I was in a co- dependent, alcoholic relationship. I told her booze was killing us and killing our marriage and I was going to quit that day...she said no, she doesn't need to, but I can if I want to. So I have been sober and doing the work for 6 months (sober) to, you know, lead by example but I left at the 5 month mark and am initiating a divorce. For me, I couldn't get excited to plan a big 30 year anniversary, when I was the most lonely I've ever been in my life. Thank God for content like this to help folks who are going thru it! Love ya!
