As an only child, I’ll NEVER have only 1 kid, growing up alone wasn’t the worst but I was also always lonely, I had no cousins my age so at family events I was always the only kid, I always wonder what it’s like having someone so close like family but not like parents

Only child here and also a pyschology major there is too much emphasis on the fact all only children wish they had siblings. I never had imaginary friends or created dual identities. I was so involved in sports and other activities I loved it

Icl im an only child and none of that applies to me and i kinda enjoyed being an only child, i am very close with my parents and yeah i may have missed out on stuff but i wouldn’t change it

Only child here and what no one talks about is when parents pass. Sure I have a core group of friends but NOTHING compares to having a sibling to help carry out that emotional and mental load of taking care of estate/funeral/material things
