People rarely grasp the depth of someone else’s pain, especially when they haven’t lived through the same experience. They often mistake forgiveness for weakness, but the truth runs much deeper. Sometimes, forgiveness is a brave decision made not to justify the hurt, but to protect one’s own soul from ongoing exhaustion. She didn’t forgive him because he deserved it, but because she was tired of being held hostage by a painful past. Tired of carrying emotions that weighed her down & quietly stole years from her life. She wanted to be free, to regain her balance & live without wounds constantly pulling her backward. It was an act of strength, not escape. Because sometimes, the greatest victory we achieve is choosing peace, in a world that taught us how to fight, but never taught us how to rest.

As hard as it is to forgive people who've hurt us we must forgive them and mean it. So that our Heavenly Father will forgive us. I'm so sorry she had to endure that type of evil that was done to her. I pray for her and her dad. 😢
