My bff’s cousin is a celibate gay man. He makes no effort to hide this, but he accepts the teachings of the Church and lives in accordance. He is deeply religious & his faith is strong. 🙏🏼

I knew a man when I was young who chose the Church over his attraction. It was a huge struggle; one day I walked into my childhood parish and there he was playing piano for mass. 😊 It’s more common than people think.

*you* may be living an awesome life, but many wouldn't in that situation, i wouldn't be. being forced into being a man and only loving women I wouldn't be happy, i would be depressed, i would be scared, how would i love myself as one of God's creation if i hate the body im in? you may thrive as you are, but i can still be myself and love God, i can still follow the teachings of jesus and enjoy the sacraments he brought us. if i am a sinner then i accept that, because i would rather be a sinner obedient to God than be depressed and hate God for making me like this

I think homosexuals in the 60-2000 were persecuted much heavier because no one wanted to talk about their sin and so it could be vilified to be worse than all of the other sins as if Jesus can’t love someone in sin. Christians lie, cheat and steal, have pride, etc. we cannot find life without Jesus, our sin is not our God, the forgiveness of Jesus is. I think the church gets that mixed up sometimes.
