It is superior to ACNH in most aspects. If you're in it for the decorating, stick to the outdated mess that continues to be ACNH with its lack of updates, repetitive dialogue, etc.

I told my friend its a mix between rune factory animal crossing and the two my time games she loves. And I was right she loves it. I LOVED the first one as a kid. I'm hoping to play with her lots.

The only part that's like animal crossing is the base camp. Otherwise it plays about the same as the 3ds version, with some obvious improvements mind you.
