@crmnallyobsessed: The Karen Read trial is on break for the holiday weekend and will resume on Tuesday, May 27.  Week 5 has now wrapped and Read remains optimistic about her case.  She told reporters she is eager for the prosecution to wrap so the defense can begin to call witnesses.  She is on trial for the death of her boyfriend, Boston cop, John O'Keefe.  Prosecutors say Read killed him when she dropped him off at a friend's house in January 2022.  They believe she hit him with her car and left him to die in the cold.  Read was asked by reporters if the defense will call former Massachusetts State Police investigator, Michael Proctor to the stand.  He was fired for misconduct after taking the stand in her last trial. She simply answered, "TBD."
