Anyone who is willing to question whether or not they are the narcissist in the relationship is rarely the narcissist. My husband told me we needed counseling so that “I could hear everything I’m doing wrong”. I asked him “and if you happen to hear that you’re wrong?” His response? “I don’t think I am.” 🙃

I went to years of thinking “you know, maybe my wife is right when she yells at me every other day and makes me feel like I thoroughly disappointed her” until she started doing the same things to our teenage daughters.

I was always there for her and always showed up but when it came to some things I would get dismissed, mocked, or insulted, funny that she even reposted things calling me narcissistic but then I know she was simply projecting

What if they have been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia? It’s my mom. She’s totally a narcissist, but also has had a lot of trauma.

I do my best to always take accountability and try to fix things. See things from diff perspectives etc I was gaslit into thinking i was a monster. I’m not perfect but I care deeply
