The thing everyone has to remember is that it's a new OS. It's not harder to learn, you're just used to using windows, and having windows issues to solve. Linux is a different environment. Been daily driving it for years now, haven't looked back to windows since. Well worth it. Give it time and don't run away when you hit your first hurdle.

all that hassle with wine and proton isn't worth it. not to mention random things just not working out of the box depending on your hardware.

Dude you missed the easiest starter method. Windows App Store has a free Linux app that acts as a virtual machine. A few different OS’s.

i accidentally deleted windows 😭. i was trying to install linux without a usb flash drive and i accidentally wiped out the whole thing. this was a very long time ago tho and i learned my lesson 😂.

Personally I just have Linux Mint installed natively on an old laptop. It's super fast and reliable so I end up just using it for day to day web browsing

“yOu CaN gEt BeTtEr FrAmEs In LiNuX”, yeah maybe, I ain’t going to deal with proton or other stuff just to get normal games running if I like competitive stuff, and I ain’t researching every single bug that comes my way if it could’ve been avoided by using windows.
