A lot of your stories start off the same or vary in different ways. Basically, whenever y’all lived in diverse neighborhoods you were fine but once you got to PWIs, you became a target. So many stories of folks feeling safe with Black and Brown folk but not with other yt people.

So glad all my misery happened in the 60s-70s! I was a tomboy, so guess who DID NOT tolerate this! We didn’t get into much trouble for fighting in school back then. lol and my mom had my back!

Tony, I think you hit the nail on the head. Growing up in East L.A., we had “Gingers” and I thought they looked “very cool”. Thus, never understood all the comments about the “Red-headed” step-child and other comments made.👍🏽🫡

playing games that were sci-fi and fantasy. I always was used to being exposed to COMPLETELY Different races (orcs, space elves, etc.) and we still beat the boss together. Always saw Real life as so Uber casual in terms of differences between people like we're all just the complexion slider on the character creation menu, haha
