Seeing comments like this are heartbreaking. My daughter is in 3rd and she still can’t fully read because she has DYSLEXIA. Seeing these comments make me realize that the kids who make fun of her for not reading learn it from parents like the people on the comments. Next time someone doesn’t know how to read, be mindful and don’t comment trying to bring the child and the mom down. DO BETTER.

All these parents saying he should be able to read have kids the same age as him and are thinking THEY need their child to read for their own bragging rights in mundane conversations. Signed a mom w 2 kids in college on academic scholarships who has no recollection if her kids were reading back then because they all catch up by 3rd grade. Parents acting like reading at that age is somehow indicative of intelligence first off, secondly we need kind and empathetic kids at that age 🙄
