I'm not making excuses for the rude receptionist but I just think she didn't want to have to copy them, if they have paper charts, or sign into the med recs portal because it's a hassle for her... I'm glad you found someone else though!

That looks terribly painful! I can’t imagine being able to feel that! I’m so sorry you had to go through that experience. I had a hysterectomy a few weeks ago but I was able to keep my ovaries. But now I might be having complications with my ovaries now.

Good lort. Yeah, I’d not be happy with an office not practicing good hygiene. The receptionist was probably having a bad day and you got the blame. But, your doctor wasn’t very professional on the last visit. At least your new doctor sounds much better! I hope that things will be better with the new office.

as someone in the medical field and a phlebotomist you never one use a needle without gloves let alone draw blood. like that's just crazy I have never seen a doctor do any of that without gloves on. I would also report them. but happy you found a provider you like.

I had my full hysterectomy at 31 too, but due to my pros I didn’t produce really any estrogen so I haven’t taken any hormones. You definitely needed a new dr and she needed gloves for even the lidocaine injection.

I have been in medicine 20 yrs starting as a receptionist now a nurse. At no point in my career have I ever asked WHY someone needed their records just “when do you need them by” and “would you like to pick them up or have them sent somewhere specific”. What you endured IMO was a form of medical retaliation and that provider should be reported for her terrible ethics. Even as a nurse we’re taught when pts say “ow stop” or “I feel that” you stop and work to manage discomfort. Sorry you went through that.

I am not in the medical field but my whole life, I’m 59 (even before covid) all Dr’s offices the folks who took blood wore gloves. Makes NO sense! Girl you are correct. Go with your gut, they are wrong.

I just had bloodwork done yesterday and they wore gloves. She put them on right in front of me. I would report them.
